Scoring
How list scores work
Each list gets a score from 0 to 100. It is computed by the same formula every night, so it is easy to check.
The four parts
Freshness, up to 35 points
The score halves for every 180 days since the last push. Archived repositories get 0.
35 * 0.5 ^ (daysSincePush / 180)Popularity, up to 30 points
Based on GitHub stars on a log scale. Full points at about 30,000 stars, one point at about 10 stars.
30 * min(1, log10(stars + 1) / 4.5)Health, up to 20 points
Starts at 20 and drops as more links in the list are dead. Until a list has been link checked, it gets 14 points.
max(0, 20 - 20 * deadLinkRatio * 2)Completeness, up to 15 points
- 6 points for at least 20 entries
- 4 points for at least 3 sections
- 3 points for a license
- 2 points when more than 70 percent of entries have a description
Freshness badges
- Fresh: pushed within 60 days
- Active: pushed within 180 days
- Slow: pushed within 540 days
- Stale: older than that
- Archived: the repository is archived
Entry score
Entries are ranked by how many lists include them, how good those lists are and, for GitHub projects, their stars. Dead links score 0 and get no page.
